The Open Group, a consortium focused on open standards, continuously works on increasing their global network.
On May 19 a launch conference of the agreement with a new franchise in China will be held in Beijing. Together with the existing franchise partnerships in Japan, France and South Africa they cover now main regions.
Kingdee the new representative of the Open Group in China got substantial reach in the country and can provide localized access to resources of the Group. It is the largest ERP developer in China and therefore the perfect choice for a partnership.
Throughout this the enterprise architecture movement in Asia will probably get another push. Especially the Open Group's architecture framework TOGAF will attract interest of companies and organizations throughout Asia - Kingdee will support administering of a Chinese language version of the framework.
Recently in other Asian countries the interest in Enterprise Architecture concepts significantly leveraged, as well.
E. g. the Singapore government plans the introduction of an Enterprise Architecture framework and in Malaysia seems to be an increased attention on TOGAF.
What do you think which other opportunities related to Enterprise Architecture will come up in the Asian region in the near future?
